Queso Dip & Football Bread Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 box (32 oz) VELVEETA® Original Cheese
  • 3 cartons pizza crust (refrigerated)
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. On a lined baking sheet, roll out 1 of the cartons of pizza crust dough.
  3. Unwrap the other two cartons of pizza crust dough but keep them unrolled. Place them on the rolled crust to make the football (place one curved down like a rainbow and one curved up like a smile). Pinch the ends together so they stick and form a football.
  4. Using a pair of scissors (or knife), cut the excess dough outside your football and place this dough on a separate sheet pan. Cut this dough into 7 thin rectangles. Lay 1 rectangle horizontally and 4 vertically across it from left to right to make the stitches. Place the other on either end (the tips) of the football to make the laces.
  5. Beat together your egg and a tablespoon of water to make a light wash. Using a brush, egg wash the laces and your ball (including the base).
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile in a separate saucepan, cut the VELVEETA® Original Cheese into cubes and melt on a medium heat. Stir in the tomato and green chilis until well incorporated and smooth. Cook together for a few minutes, until warmed through.
  8. Pour the queso into the baked football and top it with the laces. Refrigerate any leftovers.
