Our family owned company started in 1942. When the US entered WWII, the government asked citizens to step up and help the war effort by providing canned tomatoes to our troops. The Reichart family answered that call and to this day we still partner with over 40 family farms we've known for generations to sustainable grow our world famous tomatoes in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. Being on the same latitude line as Italy, this part of the United States is the most ideal place to grow award winning crops year after year. Made with your family in mind, our tomatoes are picked from the vine at the peak of ripeness and our proprietary Steam Packed Fresh process - preserved using steam so no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives are necessary. They are then blended with Non-GMO Project Verified ingredients and packed in Non-BPA/BPS lined cans to preserve their true tomato flavor without a 'can' taste. Red Gold was the first brand to achieve this! Our tomatoes are processed in one of our three family-owned, award winning facilities.
