Why use cake flour? Softasilk Cake Flour is specially formulated for cake baking. It is milled from select soft wheat that gives high volume, fine texture and delicate tenderness. Softasilk Cake Flour makes special cakes! Helpful hints: Ingredient Substitutions: Softasilk Cake Flour can be used in any cake recipe, even if it calls for all-purpose flour. Just 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons cake flour for each cup of all purpose flour in the recipe. For best results, use butter or margarine in your cake recipes. We do not recommend substitution vegetable oil spread for butter or margarine. Softasilk Cake Flour pre-sifted. Simply spoon the flour lightly into a measuring cup and level with a spatula or knife. To substitute Softasilk Cake Flour for all-purpose flour, use 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons of cake flour for each cup all-purpose flour in the recipe. There are approximately 7 cups of flour in this 2-pound box.
