Habelman Bros. Company, Tomah, WI

From the purchase of their first cranberry marsh in 1907, four successive generations of Habelman family members have been dedicated to ensuring the highest quality fresh cranberries available with approximately 670 acres all in Wisconsin. Today, Habelman Bros. Company is the world's largest fresh cranberry grower and packer.

Borzynski's Farm, Sturtevant, WI

Brothers Joe and Dave began farming in 1964 with a tractor, a few acres of rented land, and some high school friends to pack vegetables. Today, the farm continues with the second generation actively involved in growing consistently high-quality, safe, and delicious cabbage, greens, sweet corn, peppers, and green beans.

Okray Farms, Plover, WI

Keeping the farm in the family has been an Okray tradition for 105 years. Owner Dick Okray is shown here with the newest Okray Farm employee, Gabrielle Okray, who is, according to Dick, “fresh out of college with a degree in agriculture.” Okray Family Farms supplies top quality spuds year round. HerbThyme Farms, Wauconda/Woodstock, IL

Vern Meyer was a professional chef who started growing his own herbs in order to have the freshness and variety he wanted for his cooking. Vern has been growing fresh herbs since 1986 and uses sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices. His farms have been certified organic since 1992.

Frey Farms, Mt. Vernon, IL

Born in Illinois, Sarah Frey started her business by selling pickup truckloads of melons to grocery stores. Over the past 16 years, Sarah has expanded operations to Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, and Arkansas; and now sells to major retailers throughout the eastern United States. Twin Garden, Harvard, IL

George and Ruth Ahrens founded Twin Garden Farms in 1954. The farm is currently managed by third- and fourth-generation family members. Their focus remains, as it was on day one, on quality. The Twin Gardens family serves sweet corn, cabbage and greens. Learn more about Twin Gardens here.
